For Authors
Submit ManuscriptGeneral Information
JLEP invites article submissions for inclusion in our 2023-2024 peer-reviewed issues. Authors should only submit articles that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Timing
JLEP is currently accepting article submissions on a rolling basis. The Submissions Editor will accept submissions until the 2024-2025 issues are filled.
Requirements
Font, Formatting, and Style
Consistent with JLEP’s stylistic goals, submitted articles should be clear and concise. All submissions should be formatted with 1” margins, 12-point serif font for the body, and a 10-point serif font for the footnotes.
Length Limitations
JLEP gives strong preference to articles under 30 pages, double-spaced, including text, footnotes, and appendices.
Citation Format
Please use footnotes rather than endnotes. Footnotes must conform to the latest edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. Authors should be prepared to supply any cited sources upon request.
Submissions
JLEP strongly prefers electronic submissions via e-mail. However, mailed submissions are accepted.
Microsoft Word-compatible file types (e.g., .docx, .doc, or .rtf) are required. PDF submissions will be returned to the author and the article will not be considered until a word processing format is received.
Submissions via Email
Please e-mail the submission to: jlepsub@gmail.com.
We cannot guarantee that email submissions will receive a timely response or acknowledgment. Please do not email article submissions to the Editor-in-Chief or copy the Editor-in-Chief on article submissions to the JLEP submissions email.
Submissions via Mail
For paper submissions, please mail a hard copy and an electronic copy on a CD-ROM or flash drive to:
